I ride a 78 400 MC5. This bike has always been reliable. I've owned it since 1980. I did not ride for
about 12 to 15 years. Now I ride all the time and this bike just keeps on running great.

Very interesting site, I'm ejoying looking thru it. But does the web master have a name? Tell
us a little about yourself anf your KTM history. Perhaps I missed that part of your web page. It's not
jumping out at me.

Hello everyone, great site. I own a 1989 KTM 500mx. What a great bike with a great engine. Smooth, linear
power on trails and enough muscle to run 300 foot sand dunes. Hillclimbing Sand Mountain in Utah I can pull
CR500s and KX500s steady, and never been beat. Ride on.

I raced a 1973 KTM 250 in vintage during 1993-96. Never stopped running, even though we never serviced it.
Not fast, but fabulous on corners. Very pretty bike!

I have been storing a nice '83 504GS/Rotax that has been in the family since new, with tons of spares
and a rolling chassis to boot, and have been searching for a site like this for years when the day comes that
I can do a resto. If there are any other 504 people out there chime in! Thanks to all for creating such a
great site!

Thanks VMX KTM, your info on Moiseev & Kavinov sent me right back to Hawkstome Park 1977 - they were
dominant yet very mysterious, as the Cold War was still 'raging'.

Fun site. Gives me a kick in the but to finish up with my restoration on a 82 KTM 250 MX. I've got it
running well, now it's just up to the cosmetics. Would love a hint as to where to find an old manual or
parts list. Biggrin Keep this site going, and congrats on a great site.

Excellent site. I have an 83' 495 that... doesn't run... YET. It's in pretty good shape and
really needs some care and TLC. I heard it run when I bought it but haven't been able to start it myself.
Are there any tricks to this bike I should know? Please help, last October I kicked myself near death trying
to get her to fire. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.
