Race bike; 1974 250.

This 1974 KTM 250 was restored when I purchased it in 2003.  It had never been ridden since being restored and still had the original rear shocks - which were shot   This is the same bike that appears in VMX Magazine issue 19.

Getting the bike in race shape was pretty simple.  Most important were the Works Performance shocks that are specially made for the early KTMs.  These shocks have very short stroke and can be laid forward using the 45 degree mounts and still only give 4" of rear wheel travel.
